Microhabbits to change life

microhabits that will change your life in a year

Small changes lead to big results.

Most often we don’t achieve our goals because we try to change something in life dramatically. It’s better to move in small steps and gradually update your daily habits.

1. Stop reacting immediately

Yes, the world is constantly accelerating, but this does not mean that you always have to respond quickly to requests and suggestions. Don’t automatically agree to everything. Add the phrases “I’ll let you know” and “I’ll respond later” to your vocabulary. It’s better to think for a while than to realize that you don’t need it when it’s too late.

2. Finish even if you don’t feel like it.

Every day, choose one small task that you don’t want to do and force yourself to complete it. It can be anything: wash the dishes, go for a run, or cook dinner. After a few days, you will notice that the problem is not in a specific case. Most likely, you are simply accustomed to putting off things that cause discomfort.

And you will also see that it is enough to take the first step, and then it is not difficult to complete everything. When you have practiced on small matters, move on to more serious ones.

3. A day without social networks

We often go to social networks when we are bored, sad or embarrassed. As a result, we waste a lot of time. You don’t have to give up social media completely. The main thing is to use them in moderation. Try going without them one day a week. Take a walk, do your favorite hobby or something else interesting. You will notice that you have something to do even without social networks. And gradually you will become less likely to enter them on other days.

4. The night before

When you have a plan in advance, you will get things done faster. No magic, only logic. In the evening, decide what you will wear and pack your bag. Make a list of tasks, check your calendar for appointments and reminders. Do whatever you can to make the next day easier for yourself. Train yourself to do this as soon as you get home or before bed.

5. Eat without distractions

When we eat and at the same time work, read or watch TV, we often eat more. In addition, we hardly feel the taste of food because we are distracted by other things. Try eating separately from other activities. Most likely, you will notice that you just want to pick up your phone or turn on some TV series. Don’t give in.

6. At night, telephone to the other end of the room

If it lies next to the bed, the temptation to snooze the alarm and take a nap will be greater. Protect yourself from this. If the phone is far away, you will have to stand up to silence it. And there you will remember how much you need to do today, you will feel hungry or thirsty. Either way, it will be easier to start the day.

7. Write down your ideas

They come in the most unexpected places, and we think we will remember them. But usually they quickly fly out of our heads, and then we suffer, trying to remember what important things we wanted to do or what new approach we thought about trying at work. To prevent this from happening, train yourself to write down all ideas, even those that seem insignificant.
